Well most of it is clean. Usually I clean the house over the weekend. It hadn’t been cleaned since we went on holiday which was 13 days ago. The Capetonians will know how the wind has been howling over the last few days (particularly Wednesday), so there was dust everywhere. Tomorrow we are having visitors, so I cleaned this evening. And I shopped today as well. There was one thing I needed to get for one of the visitors…
Yesterday, the wind finally dropped. It so happened that we had James the gardener come round to do the garden. He spent the entire day cleaning and trimming and cutting and thinning. Mike took about 10 bags of garden cuttings to the waste drop off site. The garden now looks like it’s had a serious hair cut! It makes for better outdoor living. This evening we had dinner outside. Truffles came to ask when hers would be….
Ah, my cat!
I met with my friends today for our Bible study. We have started a series on Gideon by Priscilla Shirer. It was excellent. I also managed to get just over 5 hours of work in. David stopped by. He’s also coming tomorrow.
Last weekend I worked 12 hours. This weekend, I feel as if I have largely caught up. I have just seen something on the internet that Mike may be interested in going to. It’s the Cape Town Open Golf Tournament at the Royal Cape. Peter Karmis is in the lead right now. His mother-in-law, Rae Leeman, passed away not so long ago. She and I used to speak about Peter and his success during different tournaments. She would be thrilled. I think it will be fun for Mike and I to go. The weather looks cloudy with a bit of wind. We’ll see who is leading closer to the time.
