Choc Fudge!

6-13pm

Today was chocolate fudge day! Stacey posted a scanned image of a bunch of recipes from a newspaper in 1937! One of them was chocolate fudge. It seems it was before condensed milk got added to the recipe. It consisted only of 3 cups of sugar, 1 cup of milk, a tablespoon of butter which you bring ot the boil before adding 5 tablespoons of cocoa.

Mix it well and then boil for 20 minutes. Here it is boiling away at 90C!

1 minute to go…

Add half a teaspoon of vanilla essence and then beat until thick. Pour into a greased pan. Cut into squares. Voila…

It worked well but it is very very rich! To view this and a whole lot of other recipes tried by Granny, visit the blog Stacey has started at www.grannysoldrecipes.wordpress.com. Have fun!

Talking of Granny, today she pottered around the garden which was good to see. Yesterday Miranda came to visit and bought Granny this beautiful rose…

Granny loves it!

Matthew 6:28-29โ€œAnd why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

Lesson from a rose!

Thanks Miranda!

God bless you!

In His Grip,
