Burglary Round Two

This is just to record that today the cottage was burgled again. The intruder came back and with Morgan out, and us at home, he broke into the cottage through a bedroom window, forcing a window lock and the burglar bars and ransacked the place, taking the TV, jewellery, a Kindle and cash.

Hard to believe that it happened in broad daylight while we were having Sunday lunch.  Wednesday, he got an idea of what was there. Sunday he returned to take more. Both Mike and I had been around the back and Mike had actually gone across to where he had raised the wall and put glass on top and looked to see what other measures he was going to do to further  secure the property. Just an hour or two later, the guy returned.  He put everything in a green sleeping bag and left out through the window. He moved a bench so he could get over the wall with the stolen goods.

Poor Morgan.

But again the Lord preserved some essentials that are required for an upcoming missions trip to Malawi.

1 Samuel 2:3

Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.

When these things happen, I just get more determined to trust God. He knows. He knows. There is nothing that is out of His sight. He knew when we built the cottage this would happen. He has been the silent witness to what has happened. He knows. My faith will not be shaken by this. It will all turn out okay.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive them that sin against us.

We now need to throw the full weight of security at our house. It will be for peace of mind and as Morgan is a tenant, it will be a very justifiable tax deduction.

Talking of tax,  #387 of my 1000 thanks is that I have almost completed my provisional tax for March to August. So happy that is behind me. I sat up until about 10pm last night working on it.

Yay!

Not everything is bad. Look at this…

Let that go viral.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
