Today was the day…
We celebrated Boxing Day – the day after Christmas. The 26th December always brings to mind that we know it as Boxing Day but more that it is my sister’s birthday. Happy Birthday Annie! Thinking of you.
Adrian, Stacey and Elsie had a little time with us this morning and then set off back to Swellendam. It was beyond wonderful having them for Christmas. Elsie is a doll. She is so super smart. After they left, Mike and I went down to the beach for a quick swim. The safety shark net had been put out and the only danger was sunburn, so I kept the swim short. We dried off and walked up 250 steps to get home! The rest of the day was spent quietly, with lunch of leftovers on the balcony.
I took a walk mid afternoon and passed the beach. Naturally, it was crazy busy…

A glorious day with not too much wind. Tomorrow looks similar. I think we’ll head down a little earlier than this morning.
And so ends a gentle Boxing Day with the plan of a movie tonight. I’m not sure I’ll participate!
