Christmas Day 2021!

Saturday – Christmas Day!

Today was the day…

We had a lovely family Christmas. David bought Mike a chess set and then he promptly set up a game with two teams who played in rotation. It was very competitive and went on for more than 2 hours.

Lunch followed…

After wayyyy too much food, we all had a rest before reconvening for coffee. David set about having a whole lot of games with Elsie. He taught her one we called hide the dice. He put a dice in one of his hands and she had to guess which one. Then it was her turn to hide the dice…David thinking…

David makes his choice…

David’s wrong!

She loved it.

I’ll have good memories of this Christmas. Apart from today’s celebrations, there was a strangely familiar 15 minutes last night. Julian went down to the Little Lookout to watch Downtown Abby with Jess and Gerrie. Adrian was upstairs with Elsie. Mike, me, Stacey and David were in the lounge – just the four of us. It was a heart-warming few moments and one that was not overlooked!

The other laugh of the weekend was a crazy game of Thirty Seconds on Thursday evening. Highlight: Me, confidently saying this team was the Australian rugby side. David said, “The Wallabies”. I said “no”, so he said, “The All Blacks”. Yes! Everyone dissolved into peals of laughter. Time pressure does crazy things!

Good times. We are grateful.

2 Corinthians 9:15

Thanks be to God for His indescribable Gift!

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
