Today was the day…
I went back to gym for the first time since March. What a pleasure it was walking inside and up the stairs. Not too much has changed apart from being screened at the entrance. Every second treadmill is allowed to be used. My view…a slightly blurred photo as I was already walking fast.
It was very quiet. Definitely swimming would be a good option!
I worked this morning and then at lunchtime, Mike and I drove through to this place in Paarden Eiland. It has become my favourite tile place. The salesman Paul has been so helpful. We ordered the final batch of tiles and bought home 8 boxes of wall tiles. We’ll need to make a couple more trips to get them all back.
On the way home, we were driving round a bend when there was a massive “crash” in the boot. The tiles are heavy and three boxes had tilted to the other side. When we arrived at Echo, we found 5 tiles cracked. They are probably not all wasted – I think half tiles can be used. Meanwhile, at Echo, the roof for our balcony is being constructed.

So things are moving along. More work this afternoon and now dinner is done and I’ve got the evening off.
Thanks Joanie for the suggestion of going to the traffic department on a Saturday morning. She went at 6:30am and was out at 9am. My sister Anne says in Jo’burg they can renew at post offices. I googled it and unfortunately the Western Cape has got left behind on that gig! The car I’m getting licensed is actually David’s car, which he bought from me but is still in my name, so you know what I did? I sent him a message to say I’ll give him written permission to get it done and he can sort it out. So that’s what will happen. No longer my problem.
