Back at the Building Site

Thursday

About a month ago, I met with our builder, Werner at Echo, after he had finished the kerb. He mentioned it would take him a while to get the land cleared before the build starts. We don’t know when our plans will be passed but with the slope of the land, there is a sizable amount of excavation that needs to be done. This week, we contacted Werner again to say how about starting with the ground works? There’s so much to be done that can be done now so let’s get started.  Today we met him back at the building site. It was a rainy day…

Mike and Werner went up to see what excavation needs to be done. Steps need to be built on the right side all the way up to the top…

And about 10m x 3m of this needs to be excavated…

There are a lot of rocks that will start falling down towards the original house. The building inspector has given permission for the excavation and retaining wall to be built to prevent the stones from falling down the mountain. He’s also allowed a slab to be thrown to allow us an outdoor patio. This all benefits the build and will be used when the plans are passed. Werner will quote and start the work. At least spring is here and we should get clear weather in the month ahead to get this done. It’s going to take a while, but there’s not time like the present because the plans are still chugging through Council.

A positive day!

1 John 5:20

We know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us understanding so that we can know the true God.

Amen.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
