Another injection into Mike’s eye is done. Today’s was horrible. The first one he was psyched up for. He anticipated pain and suffering and it was only a tiny burn and some visual bubbles. Today it was more uncomfortable. Anyway, it’s over for another month. His eyesight has been brilliant since the first one, so we anticipate this second injection carrying it over the finish line. Maybe he won’t even need a third.
After our visit to the Peninsula Eye Hospital, we crossed the road to a cafe called Nood and had a bit to eat…nice view…
And great coffee…
Home for Mike to rest his eye.
#541 of my 1000 thanks is that eye injection number two is over!
Back at the house, I worked and went to gym. Slowly laboured 5km in 38 minutes, then walked/jogged until an hour was up. It was really hot, but the work out got done.
When I got home, I had a bucket wash. This is a first. I used a bucket of tank water in the shower. Splashed it all over me. Soaped. Then poured the bucket over my shoulders. Maybe that’s the future. From February 1st, it looks like 50 litres a day per person is going to be our lot. We now desperately need rain. The dam levels are at 26% which means there is only 16% of usable water left. Dire straits.
Job 33:4
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
