It’s been quite fun watching the veggies grow and surprisingly, we are enjoying a little success. Of the 6 bean seeds I planted, 1 survived. One started to grow but then wilted and died. The other 4 seeds were eaten by snails I think.
I’ve planted a few more, so hopefully they will start to grow. I’ve also put one in a cotton wool blanket like we did as kids…
The lettuces are looking good…
And with all those leaves, it’s easy to pick a few and they end up on my plate…
#67 of a thousand thanks is for avocados! I just love them and with them being in season now they are round in abundance. It wasn’t that long ago I wrote a blog about them. They are so healthy and the ideal food.
Apart from pottering among my pots, I have spent most of today sitting at my desk working and enjoying the beauty of a lovely mid-spring day in Cape Town. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and there is only a gentle breeze. These between season days are the best. As our days in the southern hemisphere get longer with the sun rising early and setting later, the northern hemisphere sees the trees shed their leaves and the first signs of winter appear. For us though….
#68 of my 1000 thanks is for SPRING!
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
