A Worthwhile Day

This morning when I woke up, I knew that today could go either way. I could make it a worthwhile day or have a slack attack (which is what I felt like doing!).  I needed to do some housework, so after my Bible reading that’s where I began. I cleaned my desk, my keyboard, my monitor and my laptop. Ready for work…

I took the carpets out and beat and brushed them. It was very interesting actually, because of them is really big and cumbersome. The last time I lugged it outside for a thorough clean was much earlier on this year and it was a real struggle. Today, it was much lighter and easier to manage. I guess I’m a bit stronger. I cleaned the bathroom and our bedside tables. What a treat. Everything is much more orderly, although I have to say I cleaned but I didn’t reduce. That will come another day. There is a lot of shredding, filing and tossing that needs to be done.

Mike rewarded me handsomely with an omelette for breakfast…

Stacey called which is always nice.

Then I worked for an hour.

And after that I went to gym. Plenty of food in my tummy and time to spare, so I stayed a bit longer. This was the treadmill…with about 40 minutes of it in the company of Andy Stanley with one of his latest messages.

10km on the treadmill and 10km on the bike.

I did some stretches and some weights and came home starving. (I’ve just noticed how many calories I burned. No wonder I was hungry).

Showered and had dinner. Now I’m ready to chill.

#912 of my 1000 thanks is for a nice clean bedroom and study! Yay.

Mike has spent most of the day working on the house plans. The file was sent to him from the lady who is doing it and he has spent several hours fine tuning mainly our bedroom. He wants to send them back to her so she can finish them before submitting to council.

Deuteronomy 20:4

The Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.

I feel I have had a worthwhile day.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
