A Proud South African Moment…

2-28pm

I’m catching up on a few things…Saturday night we went out for ‘eat as much as you like’ ribs for R88. This was the dinner view…

Seaforth! The ribs were good! It was to celebrate the end of David’s university career! 🙂  We missed having Stacey and Adrian join us but we will make up for it when they get back from their travels. When we left the restaurant, we spotted a car that was very very far from home….

The car looked a bit beaten, but could have been a lot worse…

Gotta love Cape Town tourists!

Today, after the show, I worked hard to get ahead. I have finished all the music prep up to 12-12-12! By the end of tomorrow I want to be done for all of next week & I’ve set me a goal to complete the public holiday (17th) pre-recorded show on Wednesday. I worked until not long before 1pm. On my way out, I stopped to admire Muizenberg Park which is looking pretty good ahead of the Carols by Candlelight event on Saturday at 6pm. Weather forecast 30C with mod s/w wind! It’s going to be perfect!

The view from the Park …

I took the Main Rd home and patiently waited at the Kalk Bay roadworks. This was my view…

This afternoon, I’ve watched cricket! Wow, what a wonderful South African moment, seeing the Proteas form a guard of honour to salute the end of Ricky Ponting’s cricketing career. Here’s the memory from Getty’s Images…

Ricky Ponting – 168 test matches. 13378 runs – an average of 52.05. Australia’s lead run-scorer.

In life, we need to keep on. On his debut, I bet Ricky Ponting wouldn’t have imagined he would play 168 tests matches. But he would have guessed he would play one more. To achieve 13 378 runs, you can’t score them all in one shot! They come in 1s and 2s, maybe the odd 3, boundaries of 4 or 6, but no more than that. When life gets tough, don’t worry about the many days ahead, focus on just today. You can get through today.

Matthew 6:34 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

And the Lord will be with you!

God bless you enormously!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
