A Man With A Plan

Today Mike again was a man with a plan. He came up with a possibility to build what we want to build without needing neighbour’s permission. Yesterday we thought about it for a bit and concluded the two neighbours behind us won’t give permission. We don’t know who they are. They are the owners of vacant land that they bought probably thinking no one would ever build in front of them because there is already a house on the property. They will never agree to our build, so it’s probably best to not even go there!  The one good thing about the lay of the land is that the middle fence of the two plots behind us bisects our plot, so their houses won’t be built in line with ours, but rather diagonally behind us.

Mike’s has a plan which he scanned in and emailed to the building inspector to see if he can get a written directive regarding whether what he has in mind will fit the council envelope. If it does, it will lose the need for departures (and therefore not need neighbour consent). Now we wait for his reply.

This morning during my quiet time I was praying for wisdom for Mike.

James 1:5

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

I think Mike’s new plan may just be the inspiration we needed from our generous God.  🙂 If it doesn’t turn out to be so, we’ll ask some more!

Today, I had a lot of work to do, so I missed my usual Bible study meeting and got on with it.

#685 of my 1000 thanks is that James the Gardener came and tamed our burgeoning jungle. I don’t have a before photo, but the after looks great…front garden…

Back garden…

James is great. He comes with all his own equipment and just gets on with it.

Tomorrow we expect rain. Looking forward to that.

So the day has passed and the weekend has come.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
