3-31pm
The headache belonged to my head! I laboured through the entire morning with pounding in my head. Why I don’t take something for these things right at the start of them, I don’t know! Amazingly, it is now subsiding…I think it’s thanks to Riana’s cake, talking of which, it was scrumptious…
Riana had offered to make a lemon cake for Granny’s birthday. With all the events of last week, Granny’s op, us going away and Granny going to Nerina Gardens, the cake was put on hold. Riana came today and we had tea together and Granny LOVED the cake!
Add to that, David arrived home a short while later. No need to worry that the cake may go stale. There won’t be a crumb left by this evening!
Talking of David, he climbed up on the roof during the howling wind late yesterday afternoon to bang a few nails into a fascia board that had come loose. Here’s Mike helping him down…
Grateful to have a son to help with these things!
As for the travellers. Stacey posted this photo on FB. How’s this for travelling light….
That’s ALL they are taking for EIGHT MONTHS away!
Today, they (Adrian & Stacey) drove through the Karoo to P.E. and then flew to Jo’burg. Tonight, they fly to Dubai en route to Singapore! I’m looking forward to following their travels! 🙂
What a rainy day it has been….
The dam levels lept up from 76.7% last week to 83.1% this week. We are 3% higher than this time last year, so it’s looking good!
Leviticus 26:4 “Then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. “
God bless you loads!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
