A Day with a Social Twist

Tuesday

Dear Elsie

Today was a day that was quite busy. The morning dawned still and bright and  it was definitely a good day for the beach. It was a bit harder swimming 2km today. Sometimes I think my watch is a little off. I will swim 10m and it records 100m. Today it felt as if I had to swim every cm of the 2km, so it took longer than usual. The water was flat and lovely. Afterwards I inadvertently left my (favourite blue) goggles on the wall above the shower. I only realised when I got home. I sent a message out to our neighbourhood watch Whatsapp group and goggles were retrieved by one of the locals. I’ll get them from Aly on Thursday. She’s one of the main beach photographers and is often there but won’t be tomorrow. You can see in the photo below the shark exclusion net being put out by the shark spotters.

They are now about to take it in but before doing so, they had a bit of a joy ride across the bay on this picture perfect day. That’s them zipping by – they seldom come out this far.

Today had a bit of a social twist as I met with friends for tea, something I haven’t done for ages. Then I had a facial, which was wonderful as my skin has been subject to lots of salt water and sunshine. It needed some hydration.

With all of that, I only worked 4 hours.

And now I think it’s time for a walk.

Psalm 10:14
But You, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; You consider their grief and take it in hand.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
