A Bit of Rain, A Bit of Sunshine…

5-17pm

That’s what we have had today. It began cloudy and overcast in Cape Town. Rain began to fall by mid-morning and by lunchtime it was pouring down. After a good show, the four regulars gathered to pray – it was a wonderful time and we went into the rest of the day with a spring in our step and a smile on our face! 🙂

I managed to wrap up Christmas shopping – now all that needs to be done is for me to wrap up the Christmas presents!

At lunchtime, Mike had an appointment. I went with him. Ou Kaapse Weg, being a bit higher up was a real rainy sight…

Over the top and we found ourselves bumper to bumper all the way down to the traffic lights…

After the appointment, we came home for lunch. Then Mike went to CCFm to do a bit of work and I went for a run/walk!

Then Mike continued working on the patio which is looking fantastic…

Teabreak…

Dinner is almost done!

I thought I heard a “hoot hoot” and went out to welcome Julian but it wasn’t them, so while outside I took a couple of photos of the house. This is our bedroom balcony…

And this is what the house looks like from the road…

The vine really makes it!

I want to end by saying regardless of your circumstances this Christmas (or any other time) because of Jesus, it can be well with your soul.

Habakkuk 3:17-19
17Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour. 19The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights.

Yep, He does!

In His Grip,

Helga 🙂
