3-40pm
Today has been a good day! Tuesday’s shows are always full!I got the coffee right this morning…
After the show I wrapped up music prep up to Thursday, in between reading the news at 5 to 10. Then I went off to the Joyce Meyer Resource Centre in Westlake to collect books for July’s 4 Winning Wednesdays. They are having an open day on Saturday 28th July. They usually are not open on a Saturday, so this is a treat. 9am to 12 noon. Diarise it!
It was super-misty – these photos were taken just after 10am…
Then it was off for coffee and a natter with friends…
Home to the ‘shocker’ of the day! Mavis hadn’t arrived! David had given Granny breakfast. I found her in her bedroom getting dressed (1pm)! I hadn’t heard from Mavis to say she wasn’t coming and I hadn’t heard from David that she hadn’t arrived, so I presumed all was well. No news is good news they say. All was well! I swung into action, took the rubbish out, cleaned the kitchen with David’s help, gave Granny lunch, did a load of washing and made my bed! I sent Mavis a text and her son soon called back to say that she is very sick, can’t speak and will probably only be back on Thursday.
Now! Tomorrow I have an extremely important date! I have to make a plan for there to be no Mavis tomorrow and still get to my Sushi appointment. Sushi is healthy and low in fat, but do avoid shellfish and mollusks (shrimp and squid). So I’ll aim for salmon and avo!
Tonight, Mike is making his specialty of spaghetti bolognaise, so I don’t need to cook! The Bible says, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.” (Proverbs 18:22). I actually googled ‘what does the Bible say about women who find a good husband?’ The website that came up suggested:
James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
Mike is a good and perfect gift from above! I am so blessed. I wallow in his love, respect, support and generosity. Next month we celebrate 26 years of marriage. 🙂
Let me go & get the washing off the line!
God bless you loads!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
