What Are You Waiting For? God’s Timing Is Perfect…

8-05am

I think Granny’s memorial service went very well. A number of the older folk from the Fish Hoek Methodist Church who knew Granny from some years ago were there. Our family was there as well as Mike’s sister and her sons. Some came from CCFm and from Mike’s office. Granny’s hairdresser, Rene came as well. Then, my wonderful supportive friends, Pastor John and Avril as well as my amazing Bible study friends. I felt strengthened and prayed for, so thank you to all who came. We as a family say THANK YOU.

I was amazed at how emotional I have felt over the last couple of days. My equilibrium seemed out of sync. I think Granny had been such a big part of our lives, the loss & finality is felt, even though it was expected & we grieved quite a lot at her bedside before she died.  I am feeling more settled now and ready to move forward.

Granny got us all together. We all went out for dinner last night, including Mike’s sister, and her family…

Cell phone fun🙂

So what’s next? My brother comes this weekend, just 10 days before we all leave for our Italy trip. God’s timing is always perfect. He took Granny home at just the right time – we won’t have to worry about her while we are away.  I found a very appropriate Bible verse about timing…

Habakkuk 2:3

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”

What are you waiting for? When you wait on God’s timing, the outcome will be perfect – it will not lie! We need to be patient and when the time comes, you’ll see the fingerprints of God all over that for which you have waited.  It’s worth the wait.

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
