Today was the day…
We bought a couch for the bachelor (aka basement). Mike was going to make one but when we saw this, we thought it would work perfectly…
The second hand shop also had a really nice table as a work station and two little bedside tables. They all work well in the bachelor. We need to get a queen size bed and headboard and then the furnishing for the bach will be complete. However, before we can get it rented we’ll need to get the entrance finished and a hand rail going up the rest of the 50 steps to that front door.
The guests who are in the guesthouse at the moment booked for three nights and have so far stayed 7 and asked to stay tomorrow night as well. Working remotely is a huge thing these days and they would not have been able to stay so long if they had not been able to work from home. It works for us! They are a really nice couple.
After last night’s storm, the wind was a lot less today. There were a few showers but there was also some sunshine and the worst of the rain seemed to have passed. We got out walking a couple of times and just missed the rain.
Tomorrow, I’m taking the day off!
