Today, I took a drive to Muizenberg for the first time in many months and my destination was Radio CCFm! It was so nice to be there again. As I pulled up outside the building, where there are a lot of roadworks going on, I was pleased to see ‘my’ old parking lot available. I have driven up that road in the early morning hour at least 2000 times! It’s almost 9 months since I left. It was like coming home!
Jacky greeted me warmly at reception. There were a number of new faces on the ground floor. It was great to meet old friends and find out how things are going. There is a new station manager – Nurden Cross who was chatting to Jonathan Haller…
Jonathan, presenting Breakfast With Friends is in studio alone until Wednesday, so he invited me into tomorrow from 7-30am to 8am. So I said ‘yes!’ But first it had to be approved by programme manager Jeremy van Wyk…
…and he said ‘yes!’ So I must be up and in studio tomorrow morning at 7-30am. You can tune in on 107.5 Cape Town wide, 96.7 in the Fish Hoek area or online at www.ccfm.org.za.
On the way out, I encountered Cassiem (prayer ministry), Neil (computers) and Eleanor (housekeeping)…lovely to see them again…
Wonderful friends! It was good to see everyone again. They are doing a great job keeping the airwaves alive with the hope that we have in Jesus.
