Unexpected (But Short-Lived) Illness

Yesterday I started getting some flu-like symptoms and so had a very early night. While I was just about to fall asleep, Mike came upstairs to announce that he was really, really nauseous. That is such a terrible feeling…horrible waves of sweeping nausea that leave you pale and sweaty. He kept running off to the bathroom but nothing came up. Eventually, late into the night he lay on the bed. When I first offered him a pill, he said no, but later accepted my secret nausea weapon…sea sickness tablets!!

# 394 of my 1000 thanks is for Stugeron!

It worked perfectly. The nausea subsided and he finally fell asleep. I spent most of this morning in bed but perked up with med-lemon. After that wore off, I began to feel a bit worse, so slept this afternoon and woke up feeling a lot better. Hopefully, it won’t develop any more. I think it may have been caused by getting a bit too hot yesterday.  Julian and I climbed Elsie’s Peak. It was wonderful, but I have lost a bit of my fitness and it was hot. I’m going to have to get my fitness back if I’m going to enjoy climbing Mount Vesuvius in six weeks time! (Gasp! Time is passing quickly!)

Today I read this:

Psalm 37:3

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
