Unconditional Acceptance…

3-44pm

This has come up a few times over the last several days. This morning it was driven home by my reading Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 which says, “Do not pay attention to every word people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you – for you know in your heart that many times you yourself have cursed others.”

Wow! What an enlightened verse, written by King Solomon and recorded in Ecclesiastes for us to read thousands of years later! This verse speaks into our lives today! What is it with us that we can’t keep our mouths shut? We have to gossip, talk behind people’s backs, criticize, complain, attack, store up curses in our hearts over other people. Where is unconditional acceptance? God loves and accepts us, each one, regardless of sin, unconditionally. This does not mean He loves and accepts what we do or say unconditionally. But we too should be accepting others unconditionally. I know there have been people talking behind my back. Although it is hurtful, I have grown up and am grounded in Christ and enjoy His security and love. There is none better! When we don’t feel accepted, we feel insecure. It lacks love and in Christ, this is not right. We need to put behind us any gossip, unkindness & back-biting and accept one another unconditionally. That is what Christ wants us to do and after all, living in obedience to Him is what we should be striving for!

With that whirling around in my mind, I went to work and enjoyed a beautiful, spring day….

The clock tower renovation seems to be complete…

I did two days music prep and then went to a presenter’s meeting before joining Riana for lunch at the Foodbarn! That was a treat. This is the view…

And this was lunch…

That sauce was amazing! Such a good idea! Thanks Riana!

If you read my blog yesterday, you would know that I had one item on my shopping list today! I did it well…

Won’t be running out of that for a while! 🙂

I was going to make kedgeree tonight, but having had lunch and with David going out for dinner, I’ll use up the leftover pasta for Mike & Granny. Kedgeree tomorrow!

God bless you loads!

You are in His Grip,

Yeah!

Love Helga 🙂
