Tying a BIG Bow Around This Week

Friday

We have accomplished a lot this week. We have got the height right for the roof. Mike has finalised the details on the ‘as built’ plans, the tiling is looking great and we have paid for the light steel frame.

Today, we tied a big bow around the week firstly by celebrating Mike’s birthday but also by receiving the official building plans back from Council.

Our BUILDING PLANS ARE APPROVED!!! 🧨✨🎊🎉🎆🙏🎀

All this time the house has been getting bigger and we have only had verbal approval from the area building inspector. He said ‘carry on’ so we did.  But all the time, at the back of our mind, our final stamp of approval was still pending.

Today, on Mike’s birthday it arrived. It was my prayer that they would come and if at all possible by today! And they did!

What a blessing and a relief. The plans went to Council on about 8th December 2018. They came out 28th February 2020. 14 months and 20 days: that’s how long it took.

It was a good day – although quite quiet for a birthday. We had breakfast courtesy of David and then spent a large part of the day working. This afternoon, I took Mike out for coffee and cake but Food barn deli was out of the muffin Mike was after so we bought an apple pie and went to Echo. I took a batch of photos of the ground floor (second level) because all of the supports are going to come down next week. This is where visitors will stay.

Below this floor in the lower ground floor, most of the tiling is done – shower just needs the shower floor tiles that we bought the other day.

It’s all good!

Yay for the weekend.

You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.

That day will be amazing.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
