Two Swims

Tuesday

Today was the day..

We had two swims. We went to the beach at about 7:30am and I did my 2km and then joined Mike on the bench. We sat a while, enjoying the sunshine, no wind and the lovely sea breeze. We soon found we had dried out. By then the shark net was on its way out, so we both went back in. I swam to the barrel and back. The water is super at this time of the year. It must be about 20C. Hard to beat. We need to enjoy every moment, because in a few months time, I’ll be back in my spring suit and afterwards be dressing like an Eskimo for the walk home.

The cottage guests checked out. They left the place immaculate, more so than anyone who has gone before – even the family that booked for 5 and bought 8 – they left it pretty sparkling. What these guests did differently was they stripped the bed and left the linen, all of it, folded up neatly and ready to be put in  the laundry basket. That made it so much easier. It was really helpful and it was easy to give them a good review.

The train line to Simon’s Town is open again. After recent strong winds there was sand on the track. That has now been lifted and the rattle and screech of the train rolling past is heard a few times a day.

Julian arrived today, so we are off for a walk.

Psalm 89:2

I will declare that Your love stands firm forever, that You have established Your faithfulness in heaven itself.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
