Time To Go…

10-04am

So today, I said goodbye to my onair job for 2 months. What a pleasure it is to do the Rise and Shine show. I will have a lovely holiday and a good break and look forward to coming back on 2nd January 2014. Thank you to the CCFm management for giving me the time off. I appreciate it. JP is going to do a fine job. Here I am officially handing over my big bunch of office keys…

JP and HelgaThey’re all yours JP and thanks for doing the show while I’m away! 🙂

So we are all packed to go…this is what I’m taking for  31 nights away from home…

LuggageNot so bad, eh?!

I’ll pretty much be out of communication until tomorrow afternoon. We’re only going to get sim cards when we get to Italy and that’s only on Friday, so it will have to be hotel internet for the blog tomorrow at  3 euro per hour!!

From this morning’s quiet time:

Have you ever dwelt on bad times? I know I have. I’ve remembered some of the worst times of my life and reflected upon them, wondering why God allowed them. I am not alone in recalling bad memories. The author of Lamentations in the Old Testament wallowed in the dreadful times he had suffered. But from chapter 3 verse 20, he made a choice to change his thinking. About the bad times he wrote:
20. “I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.
21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.”
When you are tempted to have a major pity party, remember this: YOU have to change your thinking and call to mind all the GOOD things God has done. Thinking about the Lord will not only change your life, it will change your day! His mercies are new for you today! Let the good times roll! Enjoy them!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga  xx 🙂
