Wednesday
Today we went down to Echo around 8am. Werner, the builder is overseas. He had told us to go and speak to his foreman, Witness to tell him exactly how we wanted the tiles laid in the lower ground floor.
Witness wasn’t there when we arrived, but the tiles were so Mike laid out a few in the design he thought looked best…
The tiler arrived…
And we explained precisely what we wanted. This evening we went back and this is how far he has got…
It’s looking good!
While we were there, I took a couple of photos from spots I know I’ve taken before so I can compare. This was 14th March 2019 – Mike had put a stick where he thought the edge of the house would be…
And this was today…a few weeks shy of a year later…he wasn’t far out…
I can see the difference. 😉 At the time of the first photo we were dreaming wild dreams. It’s remarkable that we have got so far. It was a pipe dream. So to see it coming to life is surreal and humbling. The photo above will change over the next week or two as the light steel frame arrives for it and it will start getting dressed.
