It is always a very significant day in the life of parents when their daughter gets married. For us that happened nine years ago today. The 20th June 2009 dawned bright and clear. Despite it being winter, the sun rose deliciously warm and the day unfolded with only one minor mishap. We forgot the rose petals! A friend rushed back to pick them up and them coming in a little late resulted in this wonderful image…

What wonderful memories.
#696 of my 1000 thanks is for this day and the sweet memories it holds.
Today has been quite busy. I had coffee with friends, worked, got a car license done and bought a cool 50th birthday gift for Riana whose birthday it is tomorrow. She didn’t know what I had in mind. I kept saying I had to get this voucher but they were off-line. Confused her no end. I finally got one and called to ask if she was home. I went around right away and excitedly waved it in front of her. “Huh?” was her nonplussed response!
This is going to change your life,” I said. We got onto her cell phone and found how to load the voucher and then went to Words with Friends and she bought 480 coins! (You need to know Words with Friends to understand this joy!). She just sent me a whatsapp…
Scrabble on steroids. Now she is probably going to beat me every game!
Ha. A good day. Off to the airport now to pick up Julian.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,

I swam 60 lengths. Ingrid was watching. She said my backstroke looked terrible! 🙂
