Saturday
Today was the day
We woke up quite late & again we did not swim. It was raining and the morning was pretty drizzly.
Our guests left today. They booked for three nights and were due to leave last Monday, but they kept asking if they could stay a little longer. They left this morning! They are such a nice couple and it was a pleasure to have them stay. I hope they will return one day. They had come in two cars and one of them – a very old Mazda 323 (with 300000km on the clock) had a flat battery. We had jump leads but they were at the other house, so Mike drove through to pick them up. While we waited for Mike, I showed them around our house. Three Airbnb guests and all three have left the place in excellent condition. I have been impressed.
I stripped the bed and washed the linen. I put fresh linen on, so now the place just needs to be cleaned and sanitised and will be ready for the next booking.
In the afternoon, I walked to Fish Hoek for a few groceries. I managed to skip a shower while in the shop. Walking home I looked with pleasure upon a rainbow…
There was also a Southern Right whale in the bay, but I missed it.
We’ve had an evening of TV, first a real life murder documentary on Netflix and now it’s time for football. Popcorn has been made!
Psalm 40:16
Let all those who see You rejoice & be glad in You.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
