Today at 8-30am, the plumber arrived and got to work along with the leak detection company to find our leak. They left at 1pm, none the wiser. In the end they concluded that it actually may be the water meter that is faulty. We/they don’t really know for sure. They are saying we should protect ourselves and have suggested a valve that can cut off the supply to our property when we don’t need water. As there are only two of us at the moment, we are very frugal with water. I can do dishes with boiled tank water and regularly wash with tank water and rinse gym clothes and smalls in tank water.
There was much mulling over where the problem could lie…Mike with the plumber…
Meanwhile the leak detection people were crawling all over the place with their detection equipment…
The odd thing is that this evening when I went to shower, the hot tap ran til it got hot and then it dwindled to nothing. No water in the shower. We have left a message with the leak detection people asking for advice. I felt I showered in a jug of water. Amazing what you can do when you need to.
It is tomorrow’s problem.
#491 of my 1000 thanks – I can’t remember if I have expressed my gratitude for these before, but I have to tell you that every time (and I mean EVERY time) I encounter them I appreciate them. They are the bolts on my back door. Mike put them on after the crooks chiseled through the lock of the back door and stole our TV. When the crooks returned trying to get in to Mike’s study, they started with the back door again. They took off the plate on the lock that Mike had put on, unscrewing about a dozen screws. When they got it off, they tried to force open the door again, but guess what? They couldn’t! Imagine the annoyance that now they had got to the lock and the door was bolted from within! No wonder I love those bolts so much. Whenever I open the back door I think of the crooks and how they couldn’t get in because of them. Thank you Lord for the bolts.
Psalm 119:114
You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
