12-43pm
A rare Tuesday off. Today I’m grateful to Jonathan & Wayne who took care of the Rise and Shine show. We woke late (just after 6am)! Mike made coffee and then watched the news and just chilled until I got up cooked and took Mike a full cooked breakfast in bed! I had chores to do today. Granny had borrowed a couple of things from the Methodist Church, which I returned first thing. Then I took the Betty’s Bay cottage keys back to the owner. That was in Rondebosch. From there I wound my way to Cape Town and went to see Granny. It was teatime, so I took her tea and she had it in the garden…
Then we looked at old photographs. I worked out that some of them were about 44 years ago…she absolutely LOVES looking at them and points at the people she knows, tapping the book with her finger, remembering back all those years…
Then I came home, had a cappuccino with Mike, ate some nuts and now I’m waiting for Riana and we are off to gym! I need gym today!
Today in my Bible reading, I started the gospel of John. I just love it. These words are full of power
John 1:14: The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. vs 18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.
Jesus is God. He is the REAL One and Only.
Vss 12 & 13 have special significance for me. Some time, around my conversion, I read those words and the meaning and importance of them sunk into my soul. I felt very, very privileged.
“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”
Privileged!
God bless you loads!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
