Last Day at Betty’s Bay

9-40am

Yesterday afternoon we slept for a couple of hours and when we woke up, true to my weather app, it had clouded over and there was some drizzle…

Sunday afternoon drizzleWe haven’t had the TV on once. Last night Mike & I played our own variations of rummy! And then I built a card house. My sister, Anne, was really good at this when we were children. I remember her building a 10 story one. I only got to 4 last night before it toppled and I gave up trying…at least I got a photo in….

Memories of childhood

This morning dawned bright and clear and after coffee we headed for a final walk on the beach…

The last time we were at Betty’s Bay on a Monday, I believe was when we honey-mooned here in 1986. We stayed at this cottage…

retracing our stepsWhat a wonderful morning walk. The sea washing away all the debris on the beach reminded me of what Jesus does for us. He washes away our sin…

Jesus washes our sins away

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Leaving us with a clean slate…

Pristine beachSo now we are easing towards cleaning and packing up and we will drift home at a leisurely pace. We will definitely be booking to come back again soon.

God bless and have a fabulous week!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
