Sunday
Dear Elsie
Today dawned very peacefully. The peace of the day was evident in the beauty of the quiet sea and the spectacular cloudy sunrise.
Every morning David comes for breakfast and we have a chance to touch sides with him, find out how he slept and how he’s doing. He went off to teach and later in the morning, Mike and I walked the 4km circumference of Tokai forest. At the start…
It was really peaceful. There were quite a lot of people around – but this part was very quiet.
Before we got back to the car, I suggested we take a selfie. I started setting it up and tried to put on the timer. When I couldn’t find that, I was getting us in the right position and was faffing, so Mike said “take the flipping photo”, so I did.
And then I did it properly.
Home for a late chicken lunch and now David and Mike are faithfully watching the dead rubber final T20 cricket between SA and Australia. SA lost the first 2. David persuaded Mike not to be a fairweather friend when it comes to watching South African cricket. They are welcome to it.
I’m off to CCFm to join others in celebrating 30 years of the station being on air. Quite a milestone.
Psalm 146:1
Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, my soul.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
