The Making of a Table – The Climbing of a Mountain…

2-22pm

Today I have been a bit of domestic diva! I got up, got Granny up and bathed, including washing & drying her hair…clipped her toenails (need a medal for that one…I’ve been putting it off for a few weeks!). She had fruit salad for breakfast, with tea and toast. Then I put the washing on, vacuumed and cleaned the kitchen.  After that it was onto the ironing. Yep! By then, believe it or not, it was only 10-30am!

Meanwhile, there was a lot of work going on in the garage…much progress had been made in the making of the coffee table…the frame was soon complete…

FrameThen came the bottom shelf…

Bottom shelfAnd the top shelf…

Top shelfWheels were put on…but soon taken off as they were the wrong ones…

With wheels  First coat of stain… First coat 2 Second coat of stain… Table

And it’s now been varnished and is waiting for new wheels. Then once it’s thoroughly dry, it will move to its new home!

Late yesterday afternoon, Julian and I took a walk to Silvermine Reservoir…this was heading up the mountain…

Up the road to silvermineIt was incredibly windy at the top, so I didn’t waste any time getting down. Only managed one quick pic…

Crazy windy day from the topWe walked down and round the dam, along the boardwalk…

Along the board walkAnd admired the waterlilies and the ducks…

Waterlilies and ducksRomans 1:20 For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

Coffee time next!

God bless you!

In His Grip,
