The Funny Ol’ Game of Cricket!

3-43pm

At about 11-20am I suddenly woke up to the fact that the final T20 match between SA and New Zealand was on and I wondered what the score was. I went onto a ‘ball by ball’ website and saw the game was nearly over. Looking at the score, I realised NZ were going to win…

I got used to the idea and carried on working…every now and again I refreshed the screen. Suddenly things changed and the next thing I knew they needed 8 runs off 8 balls and finally 4 runs off the final ball! :-O  That was incredible! Cool result! In fact, Alison had the right word : Astonishing!

As I watched the replay this afternoon, I heard some classic New Zealand commentary “NZ have been superior in all departments” and “NZ way ahead than SA were at the same stage!” “and “New Zealand is in control of this match!” The commentators bemoaned the impending disappointment of Alan Donald, they explained how ‘tonight had just not been South Africa’s night’ and the creme de la creme was one commentator’s presumptuous comment “South Africa always come back strong after a loss, so make sure you get your tickets for Saturday’s first ODI!” 🙂 So fun to hear their comments after the win! I did appreciate that although the Proteas celebrated, they didn’t seem to gloat! Hey we all know how it feels to lose. We’ve been there before, so we will enjoy this win for the time being! 🙂

AND, while the cricket was on and the rain was falling outside, look who I bought in from the cold…

He’s now lying on the couch, getting used to the ‘good life.’ LoL. He’s a crazy outdoor cat. When it was raining earlier and he was outside, he didn’t look for shelter. He just lay in the rain and got wet! Hardcore!

A fun show this morning with Lynwen. I came all pinked out…and matched Lynwen who had some pink detail! Rise and Shine ladies…

Must get this posted so I can throw some pasta unceremoniously into a pot, toss in the pesto and call ‘DINNER!’

If you are in a time of need, there is only one thing to do…

Hebrews 4:16 says Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Love that we can draw near ‘with confidence’. Don’t hesitate, just do it!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
