The False Bay Whales

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day your family was able to move all your desks into your new office! It was an exciting day for you. It’s been a long time coming. Today it happened!

There have been a lot of whales in False Bay. Last evening there were about 5 or 6 of them and at least 1 was very close to our shoreline. It was such a remarkable sight to see them and to hear them. But it’s Nanette Smith, I need to turn to for her photography skill in showing us exactly what they look like. She posted these photos onto Facebook.

They are such giant creatures and it seems False Bay is full of them at the moment.

Today was really busy for me. We had one guest leaving & a young family from Germany checking. It is their first trip to South Africa and it all begins here! They were very sweet. I was sure to include the rocking horse which was a hit.

I also had work to do.

We ended the day walking to the end of the beach which is always a treat. Now we are watching cricket which looked like we were going to win, but now it looks like South African could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory! Let’s hope not.

Tomorrow: Friday. I’m in!

Psalm 146:8 The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
