3-42pm
Early this morning, as I was sitting at my desk between 5 & 6am I saw a face in the window! There had been a bit of noise outside, so I went out on the CCFm balcony to find out what the commotion was. A police car drove off from below me and with it disappearing down the road, the voices that I’d heard stopped. I went back inside and closed the door. Then I sat down at my desk and carried on listening to sound files for the day’s show. I turned towards the glass doors next to my desk and there was the face…
I have to admit, I did not get a fright! It was the first time I had noticed me in the window! Like this reflection gives you an idea of what I look like at my desk, it doesn’t give you a clear picture. And so my mind drifted to the fact that there is so much this side of eternity that we don’t understand and will never know. We can’t quite figure it out.
1 Corinthians 13:12 (New Living Translation) Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
Put the mysteries to one side. Enjoy what we DO know. Leave the rest to the Lord. God knows you completely and He will take care of the things that are beyond you.
The show was busy and full! This is what my show sound files looked like…
I did a good morning’s work and left just before 1pm, after a 12noon staff meeting. I put petrol in my car, picked up a few things from the store and came home. Mike is working late and going straight from the office to a CCFm meeting. David is responsible for dinner (eg picking up the phone and placing an order for pizza!)
I’m lying in bed and need to get up and go and make tea for Granny. The weather outside is windy but there is some sunshine which makes it very pleasant in my bedroom!
Thanks, Dee for this:
The computer swallowed Grandma,
Yes, honestly it’s true!
She pressed ‘control and ‘enter’
And disappeared from view.
It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.
I’ve searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I’ve even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.
In desperation, I asked Mr. Google
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found ‘online.’
So, if inside your ‘Inbox’ –
My Grandma you should see,
Please ‘Copy, Scan’ and ‘Paste’ her,
And send her back to me.
Have a fabulous evening.
You are In His Grip,
Love Helga xx 🙂
