Soapy Apples and Answers to Prayer

3-04pm

I couldn’t understand it! I regularly take an apple to work. The last two days, as I’ve bitten into it, it’s been soapy! Blugh! This morning, I made sure I washed it well, put it in my breakfast bag and went off to work. After the show, took one (big) bite of my shiny, red apple….

…and blugh…SOAP again!!! Yuk! I couldn’t understand it & then I realised the cause…I actually caught a whiff of it….this is my breakfast bag…

….only it became David’s toiletry bag when he was in Mozambique recently…it had soap and shampoo and all sorts of soapy stuff in it, which clearly leaked out…onto my apples! Problem solved!

One of my key items of prayer this morning involved Granny’s need for a carer next week. Mavis’s brother-in-law tragically died last Friday & now the whole family have to go  to the Transkei for the funeral. She will be gone from 7 working days. Soooo, I need someone to take care of Granny while she’s away. I had asked my friend from Living Hope,  Sandy,  if she knew of anyone and she said she’d ask at a carer’s meeting yesterday. I didn’t hear from her again. This morning, I was sitting at my desk working when I remembered my need for Granny. It went through my head to look up on Gumtree if there were any carer jobs advertised. Before I had a chance to do that, my cell phone rang and there was Sandy asking if I had found someone & if not, she had the ideal candidate. Yvonne!! A carer available until the end of the month! An hour later, I had interviewed Yvonne and she starts on Monday! YaY! 🙂

The second thing I prayed out during the course of the day was my hair needing a cut. I had called my regular hairdresser and she wasn’t available.  We girls get to a point of ‘hair despair!’  I needed something done and it had to be NOW!

Before…I went down to the Mall and walked into Top Stuff and Tersia said “No problem! come back in an hour!” So I did a bit of shopping, had a cappuccino, read a magazine and went back in an hour! Yeah! Thank you Tersia…

After…

🙂

God doesn’t only care about the big things in our lives, He cares about the little things too!

2 Thessalonians 3:5 “May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.”

TGBTG!

Before I close, Moms of all ages will understand this…

Ha ha!! I think it SHOULD mean Lots of Love!(Thanks Julian for posting it!)

LOL!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
