The Dinner That Wasn’t

Saturday

Today was the day…

I woke up at 1:30am feeling pretty bad. I think it had something to do with the sushi we ate last night. For the next 10 hours, I felt pretty bleak, but started to improve as a Myprodol kicked in. That got me going because we were having friends over for dinner.  I cleaned our apartment and even mopped the balcony – that was long overdue. It proved I had some energy.

Mike was feeling fine, until he went out to do some shopping. When he came back, he was as bad as I was at 8am. He’s spent the rest of the day in bed and the Myprodol didn’t have the same magic effect, so dinner is postponed. Everything was ready!

I do think it was the sushi, although David had from the same batch and he is fine.

My watch monitors my heart rate and when it is high it identifies it as stress. It seemed it was high most of the night and into the day…saying I only rested for 1 minute!? Huh? 8 hours of stress.

And then it said this…

My battery looks flatter than it is.  I have not been hungry. I’ve had a little paw-paw (my favourite fruit) and a rice cake. Chronometer says I’ve got 894 calories left. Hoping for a better day tomorrow and that our friends can come and have the dinner then. I’ll try to get some more rest.

James 3:18

Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
