The Day The Wall Grew

Today we got a company to come and raise our back vibacrete wall by two panel. It’s gone from 6 to 8 and is a lot harder to look over and certainly to climb over. With the spikes on top, it should be pretty secure. They actually moved pretty quickly…

Almost done…

almost-done

It’s far quieter round the back – the noise from the road is definitely less. Added bonus.

Next week, we hope to have security doors added. We haven’t had too many incidents of theft over the years – I think about 3. It will be good to upgrade security for the future.

There’s actually a parable in the Bible about a thief breaking in…

Matthew 24:43

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.

It’s wise to protect yourself and your possessions, but the moral of this parable is that, as we don’t know when a thief will break in and steal, we don’t know when Jesus will return. We need to be ready.

My gratitude today (# 179 of my 1000 thanks) is for water in our tanks so when the workers needed to use water, they didn’t use drinking water. With the water restrictions raised to the next level (not allowed to wash cars with drinking water etc), we could use our tank water for their needs. 🙂

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
