The Clawing Cat

Ever since I took Truffles to the vet in mid-March, she has become a far more social cat. She wants more indoor time and for the first time (almost ever) I found her sitting on my bed during the day. She is an outdoor cat.  For, O so long, she would sleep outside day time and night-time. The only time she came in was for food and if there was a storm. But since she had her shots a few weeks ago, almost every night she has slept indoors.

The funniest thing about what she’s been up to later is her morning routine. Overnight, she tends to sleep on a table in the corner of our bedroom. She sleeps all night and when daybreak arrives, she jumps off the table trots across to my side of the bed, hops up and crawls under the duvet next to me. I immediately start stroking her head and scratching behind her ears. When I stop, she lifts her paw and sticks her claws in my arm! Then I start again and caress her for a little while. As soon as I stop, up goes the paw onto my arm and out comes the claw! She certainly knows how to get my attention!

Lady Muck…

Today has been a good work day. I started off going to gym and walking my socks off.

I walked for 25 minutes, but I upped the pace to just over 9 minutes to a kilometre. As a result I covered 2.74km and burned 218 calories. The faster you walk, the more calories get burned. I looked up one of my previous 25 minute walks, where I went 9.32 minutes to a kilometre. In 25 minutes I covered 2.62km and burned 138 calories. Going a bit quicker today, I burned 80 calories more.  I did the Grid again as well and then cycled for 5 minutes. 60 minutes done and dusted!

I then did 6 hours of work which was great. There is more waiting for me tomorrow.

A good balanced day.

#618 of  my 1000 thanks is that Stacey is 34 weeks pregnant. Today, she went for a scan and our little grand-daughter is doing well. On previous occasions, she has had seemingly very long legs. She has  now grown into them. The measurements say she is already 2.5kg and it looks like she’ll be about 4kg when she is born. All is well with Stacey and the baby, so we are all very happy.  It’s not long now! Next month!

James 1:2-4

Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
