The Bottom of the “Blog Barrel”

2-53pm

Food blogs are hugely popular, but I sort of feel that I’ve reached the bottom of the blog barrel when I blog about what I had for lunch! Somehow putting photos up of today’s lunch, which I did not make seems a bit desperate! I couldn’t resist it! It was

butternut and beetroot with cheese, sunflower seeds and cous cous….

The beetroot was a bit bland, but that’s because we’re used to it pickled and bottled.

Then for dessert, I had…

…berry fruit salad with natural yoghurt and almonds.

Followed by coffee. David described this as ‘quality foam!’…

….and the finished product…

1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

No, I don’t think I’ve reached the bottom of the ‘blog barrel.’ I think I can call this ‘making something out of not much!’

It’s been a regular Monday, with my main priority being getting on top of music prep. This year, I am co-ordinating Share-a-thon which is in 34 days and 15 hours time. Plenty to be done to make it the best “Party on air – Open house affair” EVER! Share-a-thon donations account for about 50% of CCFm’s running expenses. I’ve learned the best thing to do is to pledge on Monday which is the first day! Then you don’t have to worry for the rest of the week…you can say “I’ve done the Share-a-thon thing!”  The dates are Monday 27th August to Saturday 1st September. It’s not all day every day that week, but rather roughly 4 hours on most days with the exception of Wednesday when there’s a morning shift and an afternoon shift. I’ll be putting more info up as it approaches.

Talking of dates, it’s only 4 nights until The Hiding Place – a theatrical production at Fish Hoek High School. It’s based on the story of Corrie Ten Boom and looks set to be brilliant. I’m going Friday evening with most of my family. Hope to see you there!

For fun…

Classic!

God bless you and I hope you have a fab slow evening!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
