The Boat in the Bay

Tuesday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day we got to go to the beach! While we walked down there we noticed a boat heading towards it. It was dark grey and I thought it was a navy boat doing an inspection. As I swam, the boat came closer and closer. Eventually, it was so close to the beach, I could have swum up to it. The shark net was also being put out.  The inflatable that drags the net out soon was put onto the water and the first thing it did was go up to the boat and a long conversation followed. I was so curious to find out what it was all about. I swam out towards the barrel and by the time the boat came out with the net I was ready to ask.

They said they were filming something, so that’s what they were up to. They were filming the shark spotters putting out the net. They had what looked like a Go-Pro as well as a drone.

I didn’t take my phone with me to the beach today, so didn’t get any photos. This is one from a while ago. The shark spotter boat.

Apart from that, I worked for 8 hours, had a scrumptious meal made by Mike and then took a walk with Julian (who arrived today) and David. Talking of David, things are happening. It seems like it won’t be long and he’ll be on a plane to China.

Psalm 44:8
In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your Name forever.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
