Saturday – 7 days til Christmas!
Today was the day…
The birds came back in variety and number. One of the fun moments of the day was watching a young long-tailed sugar bird holding court and protecting his turf. Other birds swooped in, saw it was taken and, like this small white-eye, dashed off….
Then along came a black-collared bulbul. He was more brazen and threatening…hopping down the wire and eyeballing the sugarbird…
Success for the bulbul and he wasn’t quite as threatening. A sunbird and a white-eye waiting for their turn, with the bulbul slurping his share…
It was fun to watch.
Today, the waves were still too big to swim, but the wind settled during the day and by evening time, it was pretty calm. I spent about 10 minutes on the balcony waiting for my fairy lights to come on. At 8:09pm, ta-da…
Far more impressive was the almost full moon. Someone called Mike who lives in a different spot, took this photo and put it on the whatsapp group…
A beautiful evening indeed.
It’s been an easy going day, where I got a number of things achieved. I went to a Christmas market and bought a few extra gifts and also did some more wrapping. Ready for a quiet Sunday.
Micah 6:8
“What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
