The Big Book Removal

Monday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day that tons and tons of books were moved out of Julian’s storage and onto a massive truck. Three years worth of book buying amounts to this.

The garage was packed full of them ready for loading.

Job got done.

It should arrive in Johannesburg on Wednesday and weather looks favourable all the way. Hoping for the best.

Today in Cape Town,  spring certainly made an appearance with the temperature rising into the early 20s and not too much wind to speak of.

I’ve made an appointment for the cats to see the vet on Thursday for their vaccines, so that will be a fun outing!

On the beach the other day, we saw a small dog doing battle with a massive piece of seaweed. He had got it from the sea and was pulling & pulling with all the strength he could muster. Eventually, it started to break and he couldn’t get a tight enough grip to get it going again. Where he intended to take it or what he planned with it is any one’s guess, but it was fun to watch as it was so much bigger than him. He was determined!

We need to push on with the big chunks of seaweed in our lives. Today David is exhausted. The neighbours across the street had a noisy high pressure spray machine going as they cleaned their driveway. The noise was so interruptive. Hopefully, they are done. Tomorrow is another day.

Psalm 145:16
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
