Teddy on the Tree

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day we got to swim in windless conditions. I forgot to take my goggles so I did a lot of breast stroke. I found myself close to the surf-ski club and there were a few surf-skiers trying to get going on their surf skis. On pair were on a double surf-ski and they kept capsizing. When we see the surf skiers rapidly paddle past our house, I am reminded that they are the most competent of athletes, having mastered the art of staying afloat! Paddlers from far off…

And close by…

The other thing I did today was put Teddy on the tree! Initially he was going to go back to his friends, but he is going to wait for YOU to come, my darling Elsie because your Mom has some work to do on Teddy. Look at the picture below and see the difference between him then…

And now…teddy is armless!  Fortunately your Mom, Elsie is amazing at sewing and teddy will have limbs engineered in no time!

Today I did some work and also some shopping. Almost done with Christmas shopping. It’s time to start wrapping up gifts.

These days are relaxed and without stress. Work is super quiet. It results in afternoon conversations with family.

Tomorrow the Airbnb guests all leave and the next ones only arrive on 28th December.

Luke 2:8-11
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.”

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran, xx 🙂
