Tanks Have Water in Them!

Friday

Today was the day….

It poured with rain. This was my work view…

All the hard work getting the tanks ready yesterday paid off and this evening both have sufficient water in them to weigh them down and make them useful…

Quite a lot of work got done at Echo.

Werner came and has boarded up the electrics on our floor. The finishes on that need to be done. He also worked on Julian’s floor. The plumber came and plumbed the bathroom in David’s unit…

Talking of David, he recorded a little video on Facebook with his before and after.

I had quite a profitable work day and enjoyed hanging around the house, although I did go through to the old house early and got some sorting out done. Mike swung by there a little later in the day and took a load of trash to the dump. My goal is to get the place as empty as possible by this time next week. Then Courage can get stuck into fixing some of the issues.

The wind has dropped this evening and the sea off Fish Hoek beach looks like a mill pond. Mike and I had dinner on the balcony watching an inflatable charging around the bay towing a ski-er who was on a surf board kind of thing. Quite entertaining! We also watched the paddlers who are out every Friday evening. We moved in three weeks ago today and we are still in awe.
