Swellendam & Back

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today we visited you in Swellendam! We left early in the morning when it was still dark. After the sun rose, we drove through a lot of mist.

Because it was so misty, we ended up going really slowly but as a result, the petrol consumption was very good!

We had a wonderful few hours with you. I took 30 photos of you!

And you had such a lot of fun on your hammock as well. We were there for a number of reasons, to drop some things off and to have your Mom do some sewing for Granpa. We had such a happy time but all too soon it was time to leave for home again.

We had an uneventful trip back to Cape Town. We drove via Baden Powell Drive which was quiet and free flowing. Some time ago, protestors dug a trench across the road to disrupt traffic. We found that part!

On arriving home, the missing coffee machine part arrived via Uber parcel and Mike lost no time getting it working.  It’s one touch, bean to cup!  First cappuccino…

This evening we popped into the Beretta’s. I’ve borrowed Peter’s First Ascent jacket for our trip. It is as warm as toast and I am as happy as pie.

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
