Suspicious Home Activity…

11-55am

I don’t want to say Truffles is having an affair or anything, but there is some suspicious cat activity going on while we are out the house! On two occasions over the last few days, Truffles has been entertaining without our knowledge. We know she does not like Gizmo, who is the ginger tom who comes over regularly. It’s been more than once that Gizzie and Truff have had a fight. No, Gizmo is not the one being welcomed here. There is another! He is a big, fluffy grey cat who makes his home at a house a couple of doors down. In days gone by, I would walk into the kitchen and see his tail shoot out the window. But now, it seems as if Truffles is welcoming him in and they are fraternizing!! I thought it was ‘when the CAT’S away the MICE will play!’ No no. It’s  “when the HUMANS are gone, the CATS will have fun!”

Yesterday, I came downstairs and there was a sudden flash of grey bolting out from the back part of the house. In a blur he raced up and out the bay window. A few moments later, nonchalantly, Truffles sauntered into the lounge from the same direction that the intruder had come. As if nothing had happened, she paused to wash herself and then came into the kitchen.

Today, when I arrived home, Truffles came trotting down the stairs from our bedroom where she spends most of her sleeping hours on our bed. I gave her something to eat and had just stepped into the lounge when ‘Flash Gordon’ (same grey cat) whizzed past me again, coming from the direction of the stairs! Again he rushed outside, while Truffles hardly cast a second glance in his direction! I went outside to see if the visitor had gone…I found him cowering on the corner of the wall…

Offending cat

He didn’t wait around for me to get any closer! One thing I am glad about is that he and Truffles are not fighting. Truffles is sterilised so there will be no kittens! (I’m presuming the grey is a guy!). I’m watching you Flash!

I was back in the studio today for a vibrant fun show. Now I’m home, sorting the blog, doing show prep and going to gym. Soup is for dinner. It’s defrosting, so that’s easy!

A story of eternal value is in John 2. It’s the first recorded miracle Jesus did in Cana and it is the famous story of Jesus turning water into wine.

John 2:10b “….but you have saved the best till now.”

The master of the banquet was amazed at how good the wine was, complimenting the groom for saving the ‘best till now.” When God works, His work is the best. What God does for each of us is the best. When we compare our old lives to the new life we have in Christ, He has saved, ‘the best till now.” No matter where you are on life’s journey, when you commit your life fully to Him, He changes your life around. He has solutions for your problems; He has strength for your weaknesses; He brings peace in your storm; He provides for your needs. Put your trust in Jesus Christ and you will truly find the best is yet to come.

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
