It’s been a well-balanced Saturday. We woke at a reasonable time and had coffee. By 8-30am we were at the Stag where we met Julian and David for breakfast. After I got home, I had a little rest and then went to gym. By the time I got home it was 11ish and the rest of the morning was pretty chilled. At just after 2pm, Julian arrived and we drove over to Tokai forest for a walk. It is a beautiful place to walk…
Just opposite the park, there was a kids party on the go…it’s such a lovely playground.
There were loads of people and pets…
It was a lovely walk, but whenever we go there we are reminded of the tragic murder of Franziska Blochliger on 8th March 2016. Ribbons still adorn the fence in her memory. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, there are loads of local walkers, horse riders and cyclists, but i still wouldn’t walk there along and will think twice about going during the week. It’s a large area and in places, quite isolated.
The guy that murdered Franziska is behind bars serving two life sentences for his crime. He will never walk through this forest again.
So sad. It’s something that is difficult to understand.
God knows.
On our return, we watched some golf.
#730 of my 1000 thanks is for this restful Saturday, where I could lie on my bed and linger over a difficult Sudoku!
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own troubles.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
