Today was the day…
That wasn’t quite as rushed as yesterday. My work conference meant we didn’t go to the beach, despite it being a beautiful day with very little wind and the sea looked so inviting. Our new guests arrived and are settling in. We have reached the criteria for being an Air BnB Super Host!
We just made it in the nick of time as we had until Friday to meet the criteria. Not that anything changes. We will just carry on trying to do our best and making each group of guests feel as comfortable as possible.
Late this afternoon, I walked to Fish Hoek to view a headboard. It was a jolly nice one and Tony, the seller has a small truck and was happy to deliver. I walked home while he first went shopping and then bought the headboard up to us. R400 delivered.
That was a good buy. Now I just need one more for the loft. I think this one will go in the basement which we are trying to rename something more suitable. The basement conjures up something underground, which this is not. It’s one large room with an en suite shower room, so maybe we should call it ‘the suite’. It is about 50 steps from the road and has a little sea view.
We do not have a conference day tomorrow, which is a nice break. I’ve got quite a lot of work to do, but am taking off at lunchtime as Mike has an appointment with the cardiologist. He’s been very healthy but has had a few grumblings of late, so it’s time to check them out. His initial blood tests came back clear which was good news.
