It is hard for me to believe that I am old enough to have a 30-year-old daughter, when it seems just the other day I myself turned 30. I remember my 30th well and I will remember this weekend to celebrate Stacey’s too. We woke up in beautiful calm, Swellendam and went to The Old Mill guesthouse and restaurant for breakfast with Stacey and Adrian and Adrian’s Dad.
#497 of my 1000 thanks is for Stacey’s 30 years on planet earth! Love these two!
We had packed and so after breakfast, we said our goodbyes and hit the road.
After an uneventful journey, punctuated only by a stop for a fabulous coffee in Caledon, we arrived home just after 12-30, having picked up a happy Truffles on the way.
I went to gym and then did a bit of shopping before coming home and catching up with work. Then I recorded some children’s audio, which is a new job I have got on Upwork.
Supper followed and then we got ready and bolted out the door to go to the Fish Hoek High School Christmas Carols service. I always enjoy this as it marks the start of the Christmas season and is so beautiful. David often joins in as part of the staff choir…
It was a treat.
And so ends a busy but happy day!
1 John 4:7
Dear friends, let us love one another for love comes from God.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
